Our mission as born-and-raised German brewers has always been to tell the original story of our beer. To take 1000 years of German beer making history and adapt it to our times and the place we live in without sacrificing what makes German beers great - their deceptive simplicity, complex flavors and clean finishes. We knew from the start that we were not going to win the IPA race. For us to have success and to be proud of what we brew we had to get really good at sourcing, brewing technique and unearthing European brewing tradition. We decided: Let’s just do away with the facade, get rid of everything that’s on the exterior, unnecessary or foolish and focus entirely on what’s in the can, because in the end, that’s what matters. We make our beer our way - with German attention to detail and California soul.
