SMITHEREENS
In 1846, San Francisco had a population of just over 200 residents. By 1852, the population of the city had ballooned to about 36,000. Many had traveled hundreds or even thousands of miles in search of a better life. When the gold rush boom went bust, those left behind were forced to adapt and persevere. Smithereens is dedicated to those 49ers that contributed to the growth and development of the modern California wine industry we know today.
