ALASKAN BREWING

In 1986, twenty somethings Geoff and Marcy Larson pioneered the new frontier of craft brewing in a remote coastal community of Juneau, Alaska. With the help of friends and neighbors, they bravely brewed where no one had since prohibition. Their Gold Rush-inspired brew would find its way into the hulls of Alaskan fishing vessels headed back to Seattle, bringing with them the first taste of Alaskan Brewing Co. Fierce fans across the country would ultimately empower the growth of a now internationally award-winning brewery and sustainability pioneer. From being the first craft brewery in the country to install a CO2 recovery system and mash filter press, to the creation of the patented Beer Powered Beer process that fuels their brewhouse with spent grain, Alaskan Brewing maintains its commitment to environmental stewardship, community and the authentic taste of Alaska.
